This May, we highlighted mothers making a positive impact in their communities! Thank you for continuously embracing a lifestyle of giving to help others. We hope you have a lovely time with your families.
The Scripsense Team
This morning our Co-Founder and CEO Melinda Masson attended Voice for Girls 2018 put on by the Girl Scouts of Orange County. This event is a celebration of female leadership. It is held each year as an interactive think tank where Orange County’s key influencers are able to weigh in on how they can best assist young girls in the community in achieving their potential.
FBI Special Agent Gina Osborn, who is in charge of Cyber and Computer Forensics, was inspiring! As the keynote speaker, she shared highlights from her career in a male-dominated field of federal law enforcement. Gina is responsible for collaborating with 17 law enforcement agencies in Southern California to bring the Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory to fruition in Orange County.
In addition, four exceptional Girl Scouts were also honored for being leaders in their community. As a company that was founded by two powerful female leaders, President Lori Jackson and CEO Melinda Masson, Scripsense is proud to continue to support the rise of young women today! If you are a powerful leader looking to support your community through a digital fundraising marketplace, please contact us at email@example.com to learn more.
What do Earvin “Magic” Johnson, the Girl Scouts, and Orange County professionals all have in common? They are all going to be present at the upcoming Women’s Philanthropy Fund Breakfast on May 8, 2018, at the Hotel Irvine Jamboree Center.
Every year Orange County United Way hosts an event that highlights breakfast as the most important meal of the day while providing an avenue for 800 professionals to raise funds for the next generation. Earvin “Magic” Johnson is a well-respected retired professional basketball player and the current president of basketball operations of the LA Lakers. He is this year’s Orange County United Way Keynote Speaker and is sure to provide some great insight into how to overcome challenges as they come.
All funds at this event will be raised for at-risk women and children. Having raised more than $2 million in the past, this event is crucial in giving at-risk women and children access to health care services, reading programs, after-school activities, physical fitness, career guidance, and even help with finding permanent housing.
Scripsense, a digital fundraising marketplace, is a proud sponsor of the Women’s Philanthropy Fund Breakfast because our company values enabling others to give back to their communities. This year’s event is sold out but to learn more about how you can still get involved, click here.
